Meet the Captain
I have been an avid fisherman for over 20 years. In 2017 I took my first trip to Lake Norman and immediately fell in love with it. I have been catfishing on Lake Norman as much as possible on weekends and holiday’s since then. Lake Norman has given me some amazing experiences and hopefully it can give you some too on our 4, 6, or 8-hour catfishing adventure!

Our trip on Lake Norman will begin at Inland Sea Marina (114 Bowfin Circle in Mooresville, NC). I will pick you up at the dock and our fishing time will not begin until we throw out our first line.I am certified in first aid and CPR and fully insuredThere is limited parking at the marina so please be sure to carpool
The Boat
Carolina blue/white 2013 Carolina Skiff 218DLV with room up to 5 people equipped with a 140hp Suzuki motor, riptide trolling motor, Lowrance gps/depth finder, driftmaster rod holders, fresh bait and multiple rods ready to go.
Fishing
I am specialized in drifting/trolling and anchoring for catfish with multiple rods rigged and ready!! I will also be prepared to cast for schooling bass or white perch during our catfish outing.
All trips booked will be catfish trips
However, upon special request, I can offer trolling for largemouth, spotted, and hybrid bass. If you are interested in trolling for largemouth, spotted, or hybrid bass please call or txt me at 336-613-0575 or [email protected] for further discussion.
What to Bring
Anyone over the age of 16 must have a valid NC fishing license that can be purchased at https://www.ncwildlife.org/ or other sporting goods stores.Depending on the time of year and weather conditions please dress accordingly and come prepared.Children under the age of 13 will need to have a life jacket and will need to wear it throughout the duration of the trip.A cooler with drinks and snacks. No alcohol. No weapons.If you would like to keep your catch, I will have a cooler provided on the boat with ice (upon request), but you will need a cooler to take your catch home. Any catfish caught over 10 pounds will be released. Lake Norman is a trophy catfish fishery and I practice conservation.No fish cleaning services are offered with this service. There are also no fish cleaning facilities at the lake. You will need to plan to take your catch home in your own cooler.Family, kids and A GREAT ATTITUDE. If you are interested in being guaranteed to catch big fish or multiple fish on your outing for you to consider it a successful fishing trip, then this is not the service for you. Sometimes fish bite and sometimes they don’t. This fishing experience is not all about fishing. It is also about the sights, sounds and the soothing relaxion of being on the water. If you want to have an enjoyable day on the water, then this is for you!!
Booking Information
I am a part-time fishing guide and my prices will reflect that. I am available for trips (weather permitting) on weekends year-round, some holidays, and the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Rates-
4 hrs: 1-2 people $250, 3-5 people $350
6 hrs: 1-2 people $350, 3-5 people $500
8 hrs: 1-2 people $450, 3-5 people $600
Trips can be booked through this website and will require a $100 nonrefundable deposit at the time of booking. Remaining balance, if not paid if full at the time of booking will be required at the end of your trip when we get back to the dock. Cash payments for remaining balance recommended and encouraged but not required. Tips accepted and appreciated.If your trip is cancelled due to weather you will be refunded the deposit and full amount paid, if trip was paid in full at time of booking. 6-8-hour trips are only offered from October-April. 4-hour trips offered during summertime months (May-September). May through September trips begin before sunrise due to increasing boat traffic and rising temperatures. Typically, guide trips booked during the fall and winter months will begin around 7:00 a.m. and end around 2:00 p.m for 6 hr trips.
8hr trips during fall and winter months will begin around 7:00 a.m. and end around 4:00 p.m. However, I am flexible regarding these start and end times and weather conditions may also play a part as well. If you are interested in booking a trip and want to fish a 6hr time period during the fall and winter other than what is described above, please contact me to discuss further.If you are interested in a 4 hr. trip during fall and winter months (October through April) please contact me for further information and discussion.Weather information/policy:
Only Carolina Blue Guide Service, LLC Captain and Guide will determine if the trip will need to be cancelled or rescheduled due to weather and or predicted weather as the date of your trip approaches. We will not fish in severe weather. If Carolina Blue Guide Service cancels your trip due to weather, you will have the option to reschedule or be refunded.Cancellation Policy: I understand life happens and you may have to cancel your scheduled trip. However, it would be greatly appreciated if you can give me a 24-hr. notice of your cancellation. I will be traveling 2 hrs. to get to the lake to meet you. If you fail to give me a 24-hr. notice of your cancellation your credit card on file will be charged half the cost of the trip.
